Mission Inn Resort + Club is a stunning, historic golf club and resort that captures the serene spirit of Florida. Back in 1916, a businessman by the name of William J. Howey acquired 60,000 acres of Central Florida real estate, planted it with citrus trees, and set out to become a citrus mogul. In addition to building himself a private estate, he also constructed a golf course to encourage growth in the area, naming it the Florida Chain-o-Lakes Country Club. In the 1960s, a successful salesman and trader purchased the then-decrepit country club, transforming it into a beautiful resort. He expanded the property to include a second golf course, a full-service spa, three restaurants, and a copious amount of event and meeting space. He also renamed it Mission Inn Resort + Club. 

Today, Mission Inn Resort + Club includes over 500 acres of beautiful property, 176 hotel rooms, two award-winning golf courses, a spa, three restaurants, and 30,000 square feet of event space. You and your guests can take advantage of all of these wonderful amenities when you host your wedding here!

Details of the Grounds

Mission Inn Resort + Club has three primary ceremony spaces from which you can choose to exchange your vows. The Plaza de la Fontana is a spacious courtyard at the center of the resort with a gorgeous fountain, palm trees, and Spanish-inspired architecture all around. Marina del Rey is a more secluded ceremony space a short drive from the main resort, which offers more privacy for couples. On the banks of serene Lake Harris and surrounded by 100-year-old cypress trees, it’s a beautiful waterfront spot. Last but not least is Legends Courtyard, which is an intimate, tree-lined space with a patina-covered fountain and views of the resort in the distance. 

For your reception, you have six options from which you can choose! El Conquistador is one of the resort’s restaurants and is perfect for a smaller brunch reception overlooking the El Campion golf course and Plaza de la Fontana. La Hacienda is another restaurant with a unique split-level floor plan and a grand ballroom ambiance. It features a grand fireplace and marble columns and is attached to a beautiful outdoor patio for a little outdoor evening romance. 

The Grand Ballroom is the largest wedding reception area at Mission Inn, with a maximum occupancy of 300 guests. It has a ton of wide open space and a flexible floor plan so you can arrange the room to accommodate all of your guests, a dance floor, a photo booth, and whatever other surprises your wedding has in store! Legends Ballroom is a grand, romantic space with an attached outdoor terrace and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the grounds.

Of course, there are also plenty of options for an outdoor reception, too, should you be dreaming of dining and dancing under the stars!
