In the heart of St. Augustine, the historic Pena-Peck House beckons garden lovers and hopeless romantics alike – especially those looking for a beautiful place to get married. Surrounded by beautiful trees, lush landscaping, and centuries-old architecture, it’s a gorgeous setting for a celebration of true love. Here’s a little insight as to why I love a beautiful Pena-Peck House wedding

About The Peña-Peck House Wedding Venue

143 St. George Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084

The Pena-Peck House is the only residence to have been built by the order of a King of Spain. King Ferdinand VI had the home constructed for Spanish Royal Treasurer Juan Estevan de Pena in the First Spanish Period in the late 1740s. It’s one of only 35 remaining buildings from that era in St. Augustine today! Over the years, Spanish and British ownership passed back and forth until Dr. Seth Peck and his family bought the property in 1837 and added on the second story. In 1931, Peck’s granddaughter and final owner of the house, Anna Gardner Burt, left the home, furnishings, priceless antiques, and artwork in a trust to the city to be an example of old Southern antebellum homes.

In 1932, The Women’s Exchange, a nonprofit organization of “women helping women,” entered an agreement with the city of St. Augustine to maintain, manage, and show the home. The 130-year-old organization is still operating and showcasing the home to this day! You can visit for an educational tour or a trip through their gift shop to help support The Women’s Exchange, or you can host your event at the Pena-Peck House! Proceeds from private events are used to maintain the historic house and fund educational scholarships for women over the age of 30 looking to return to the workforce.
