About The TPC Sawgrass Wedding Venue
The Tournament Players Club, or TPC, is at the heart of TPC Sawgrass. Back in the 1970s, PGA Tour Commissioner Deane Beman wanted to create a unique site owned by players of the PGA Tour that would host The Players Championship every year. He set his sights on Sawgrass Country Club and approached the owners, The Arvida Corporation, to buy their facility. Not only did the owners not want to sell, but Arvida Chairman Charles Cobb made a $100 “business sportsmanship” bet that Beman would never get financing or approval to buy any facility, let alone theirs. Today, an inscribed $100 bill is on display in the Clubhouse, a testament to Beman’s perseverance.
TPC Sawgrass is home to one of the world’s most beautiful golf courses. It was one of the first designed with fans in mind, with stadium-style seating and an improved overall fan experience. Today, the beautiful Mediterranean-style Clubhouse is home to a variety of event spaces, lounges, and the award-winning restaurant, NINETEEN. NINETEEN received the coveted Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator in 2020 for having one of the best wine lists in the world and the Best of Award of Excellence in 2022.

Details of the Grounds
One of the biggest draws of a TPC Sawgrass wedding is saying “I do” on the stunning event lawn overlooking the PLAYERS Stadium Course. In the back of the stately Clubhouse, surrounded by mature palm trees and with views of a nearby pond and fountain, you can host up to 500 guests for a sensationally beautiful ceremony. Of course, there is also plenty of room for you to exchange vows indoors as well, in case of inclement weather or on hot Florida days. You can also always hold your ceremony in a church or at another venue and celebrate your new marriage at TPC Sawgrass afterward.
The Clubhouse is a massive 77,000-square-foot mansion with vaulted wood ceilings, iron chandeliers, terra cotta tile, and a stunning grand staircase. They have over 10 different event spaces that you can transform into your perfect wedding celebration, designed to accommodate anywhere from 50 to 500 guests. Most of the rooms feature touches like rich wooden beams and ornate paneling, as well as huge windows overlooking the verdant property surrounding the Clubhouse.
