Not far from downtown Orlando, in a world far removed from theme parks and princesses, lies a beautiful Floridian oasis. Cypress Grove Estate House is a gorgeous venue with a stately, historic manor and an abundance of towering trees and lakefront views. It’s the perfect serene getaway destination for a wedding full of charm and outdoor elegance. Intrigued? Here are some of my favorite features of a Cypress Grove Estate House wedding.
290 Holden Ave, Orlando, FL 32839
The Cypress Grove Estate House was built in the mid-1920s, a charming colonial on 80 acres of lush grounds. Surrounded by mighty oak and cypress trees, flourishing gardens, and manicured lawns, it’s a beautiful beacon of Southern architecture that takes guests back to another era. Its location on the shore of scenic Lake Jessamine is the icing on the cake, with waterfront views that are perfect for a romantic ceremony. The venue is available for hosting weddings year-round and offers the perfect setting for a gorgeous Floridan celebration.
Cypress Grove is the perfect place for a stunning outdoor wedding. Begin your wedding day getting ready in their VIP suites, bright, beautiful rooms with tons of natural light, neutral decor, and vintage touches. It’s a great starting place for your beautiful celebration and a perfect spot for those timeless “getting ready” photos you’ll love to have.
For your ceremony, you can say “I do” standing on the banks of Lake Jessamine. Your guests will sit on beautiful green lawns looking out over the water, flanked by moss-covered trees. You and your partner will stand beneath a beautiful white gazebo that creates a stately setting for an unforgettable vow exchange.
For your reception, you have several options. The first is to celebrate in the amphitheater, a beautiful courtyard of historic red brick flanked by an elegantly curved white pergola. Strings of market lights hanging overhead add an extra romantic glow, and the surrounding trees add a cozy garden vibe. While it’s a strikingly beautiful space, the materials are fairly neutral, meaning you can dress it up with whatever decor or florals your heart desires!
Your second option for a reception is to put up a tent on the Grand Lawn. A glamorous transparent tent allows you to bring in the beautiful garden surroundings and night sky while still protecting your guests from any unforeseen Florida weather that may come up.
However you decide to utilize the spaces at Cypress Grove, you are sure to have an absolutely spectacular wedding!
Cypress Grove is a spectacularly beautiful venue that gives plenty of ways to play with photography on your wedding day. From the stunning gardens and waterfront views to the old, mature trees dripping with moss, your portraits will exude old Florida beauty and elegance. The building itself offers some fun architectural touches to include in portraits, too. Like the large porch, a beautiful green front door, and a lovely outdoor staircase.
Events at Cypress Grove are well-oiled machines! Their event team will help you make sure that no detail is overlooked so your day flows smoothly. You’ll need to plan to hire an event coordinator from their list of pre-approved vendors. Which is another way to ensure your day flows beautifully from start to finish. Cypress Grove works exclusively with Big City Catering. A reputable vendor with extensive, customizable menus for a memorable first meal as a married couple.
