A1A Ale Works is located in the same historic building as the Lightner Museum, once home to the famous Hotel Alcazar. The esteemed hotel was built by St. Augustine visionary Henry Flagler in 1889. It helped transform the city of St. Augustine into the tourist destination it remains today, with draws like the world’s largest indoor swimming pool. The Hotel Alcazar stayed open, hosting wealthy visitors from around the world until 1931. Today, it’s home to the Lightner Museum, as well as a series of shops, cafes, and, of course, A1A Ale Works.

A1A Ale Works has two unique event spaces for weddings: The Bayview Room and the Sala Menendez Room. The Bayview Room is a luxurious space with room for up to 100 guests. Touches like crystal chandeliers, exposed bricks, and large windows overlooking the Matanzas Bay and Bridge of Lions make it a uniquely elegant site for a reception.
The Sala Menendez Room is suited for more intimate events with up to 60 guests. Located inside the courtyard of the Lightner Museum building, it boasts 12’ ceilings and incredible views of the courtyard’s tropical gardens. Alabaster chandeliers mirrored golden walls, and other charming features add to its unique charm.
