About The Historic Grant Station Wedding Venue

5390 S US1, Grant, FL 32949, US

Grant Station has a history that stretches all the way back to 1893. First built as a general store by a gentleman named Louis Benson, it later sold to Lars Jorgensen a few years later and became Jorgensen’s General Store. The building served as a general store, post office, telegraph office, and trading post in its prime! It remained Jorgensen’s General Store until 1956, when Jorgensen’s daughters sold it to locals who renamed it The Towne & Country Shop. It closed in 1962 and sat empty until 1995, when it was purchased, renamed The Grant Grocery, and added to the US National Register of Historic Places.

In 2011, The Historic Grant Station was purchased by a gentleman named Chris Pozgar, who worked diligently to renovate it and open it as the exceptional BBQ joint Rib City. Since then, the property has expanded to over 3 acres of land and is home to Island Paddle, Old Grant Creamery, and the beautiful event space, The Barn.

For your Historic Grant Station wedding ceremony, you can choose to exchange vows in one of two unique spaces. The historic barn gives you a backdrop of rustic reclaimed wood. Beautiful barn doors and other traditional elements add a fun and playful country vibe to your ceremony. Alternatively, you can choose to say “I do” amidst tropical Floridian foliage like palm trees and birds of paradise. This quiet oasis features a simplistic wooden arbor that transforms with your signature wedding florals.

The Barn is a gorgeous historic building that embodies all of the rustic beauty of a traditional barn with modern amenities like crystal chandeliers and twinkle lights. With room for up to 130 guests, there is space for dining, dancing, and celebrating your beautiful new marriage all night long.
