Bowing Oaks Plantation is situated on 5 beautiful acres of beautiful Florida countryside. The venue is located in Bayard, a great place for shopping and dining, with plenty of nearby accommodations for your guests about halfway between St. Augustine and Jacksonville. Built in 2014, Bowing Oaks Plantation is a beautiful balance of country ambiance and modern elegance that is perfect for a contemporary outdoor wedding.
Details of the Grounds
Begin your wedding day in the comfort of the Bowing Oaks Plantation bridal suite, complete with a private restroom, refrigerator, and a built-in sound system. The suite has plenty of salon stations with beautiful mirrors and lighting so you and everyone in your party can get ready together. Your partner and their party can take over the Groom’s Room, which has a pool table, an 80” television, and a bar, making it a perfectly comfortable spot to kick back and relax before the ceremony.
For your ceremony, you have two outdoor options from which you can choose. First, you can exchange your vows at the “I Do” oak, a majestic mature oak tree with massive outstretched branches dripping in Spanish moss. This beautiful and unique backdrop is the perfect representation of the steadfast love that brought you to this moment in the first place!
Your second outdoor option is the Covered Pavilion, which offers a more classic chapel-like feel. You and your guests will be protected from the hot Florida sun with a ceiling supported by rich wooden beams and adorned with romantic market lights and ceiling fans. It’s a great alternative to the “I Do” Oak, offering a little more protection without sacrificing the beautiful surroundings of the property.
Bowing Oaks Wedding Cocktail And Reception Spaces
Following your ceremony, your guests will gather on the patio for Cocktail Hour. Decorated with more strings of market lights, a fire pit, and an in-house speaker system, it’s a great place to kick off the celebration once you’re officially married.
Your last stop of the evening is the temperature-controlled Bowing Oaks Wedding ballroom with space for up to 200 guests. Rustic wooden walls and sleek cement floors contrast beautifully with crystal chandeliers and romantic drapery hanging from the ceiling. There’s plenty of room for dining and dancing, and large restrooms and a catering kitchen round out the functionality of the space. Plus, your rental fee includes round banquet tables and Chiavari chairs for a beautiful, formal touch!

Wedding Details
When you have your wedding at Bowing Oaks Plantation, you’ll have exclusive access to the property on your wedding day. You’ll need to plan to use a caterer, bartender, and coordinator from the venue’s list of Approved Vendors. But bring the vendor of your choice (as long as they remain licensed and insured.) Your rental fee also includes setup and breakdown of all the chairs and tables, a one-hour ceremony rehearsal, and use of the property from 8 am until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays or 11:00 pm on Sundays.
