About The Howey Mansion Wedding Venue

The Howey Mansion was the passion project of citrus industry innovator and politician William J. Howey. He originally owned 60,000 acres of Florida land, many of which he planted with citrus trees, saving one of the best spots for his private estate. Built in 1927, their Mediterranean Revival-style home was designed to be hospitably opulent with magnificent feats of craftsmanship and architecture. Over the years, the home – and its 16 acres of surrounding parkland – welcomed presidents, celebrities, and other esteemed guests.
But as time went on, the Howey Mansion was eventually abandoned and fell into disrepair. That is, until 2017, when it was purchased by Orlando real estate investors and entrepreneurs Brad and Clay Cowherd. They meticulously restored the mansion and converted it into an amazing event venue, restoring it to its former glory so it could once again welcome guests of honor with pride.

A breathtaking fireplace with an enormous wooden frame and mantle is a romantic backdrop for a vow exchange. Rich hardwood floors and a ceiling lined with mahogany beams add an extra historical touch to the space.
Outdoors, the backyard offers an elegant stone patio that is perfect for a stunning ceremony. Beautiful arched windows, tall palm trees, and colorful stonework all add charm and character to the space. It can also be used for al fresco cocktail hours or a dinner party beneath the stars.
Additionally, you can opt to utilize a tent on the lawn for your celebration, which is highly recommended. Florida is known for its unpredictable weather, and if your wedding date happens to be in the summer, you’ll be glad you have a tent when those afternoon storms move through!
